Balloon Beginnings
prologue-
“i heard from a source that our character is here in the Moloverse. not only that but the character made a wish for me.
This whole pocket dimension is a dead zone. Vanessa created it to escape to whenever she needed personal space from me. She infused bit of me to create all the beings here except for one. that one is who we’re looking for. He’s the key to finding her. if my calculations are correct he won’t shine like the others. so be on the look out for him.
other than that we’re running the same operation. have a good time. make sure the spectators have a good time and give a great show. got it ?

episode one.
Mo sneaks out of the broken castle and heads toward the city., he pulls out a flyer from his book bag “The Every Circus. I’ve never heard of it but it looks like a lot of fun. that Zero can’t keep me indoors doing nothing while the city is at this circus.” he stuffs the flyer back in his bag and continues walking. “there’s something suspicious about this circus.” he mocks Zero, “you better not go until i check it out. what a loser. if he wanted to have fun without me he should’ve said that instead!”
cutscene to Zero telling Mo
“there’s something suspicious about this circus Mo. for some reason it seems familiar but i can’t quite put my finger on it. it’s like a weird case of deja vu. You better not no go until i check it out first. understand?”
cuts back to Mo heading to the circus. he hears strange music coming from the circus. (Everywhere by fleetwood mac plays)
in the circus Mo is in awe. there are things he couldn’t even fathom before. multidimensional creatures, objects from other galaxies, foods from other universes. in addition to that he continues to get the usual glare from the city’s people looking down on him. , he gets overwhelmed. until he finds something that is familiar and comforting. a balloon stand.
he walks up to it and approaches the man.
“hello boy, would you like a balloon?”
“yes, but i don’t have any money to pay for it.”
“ah don’t sweat it. it’s on me. say, what’s your name kid.”
“Mo. can i ask you something ?”
“sure what’s up Mo.”
“where do you all come from? i’ve never heard of an Every Circus before. and where do all these things come from ? I’ve never seen anything like them before. Everything’s so strange!”
“haha ! that’s a few questions kiddo but i understand your surprise. how old are you?”
“anaswer my question first”
“hahaha! ofc. and i’ll give you this balloon too.” the man hands Mo a red Balloon. The Every Circus is a multidimensional traveling circus. we travel across space time through the multiverse showcasing our collection of the strangest and coolest things in the Everyverse. we’ve pretty much seen everything there is to see everywhere. our Director, Mr. E is really good at finding pretty much anything he wants. actually Mr E is-“ the man freezes for a moment then sneezes into his elbow. once he lifts his head up there’s a third eye on his forehead. “sorry about that kid. and ignore the eye. my species is known for having multiple eyes. that’s all i can say for now. but how old are you?
“whoa. coool. uhh i’m 10.” Mo said. He began to think to himself “so this Mr. E can get everything he wants. that’s so cool. i wish i had everything”
“Haha ! and i wish i had More !” the man shouts in response to Mo’s thoughts.
“wait you can hear what i’m thinking ?!” Mo says aloud.
the Man has a wide eery grin on his face. “don’t you want more balloons.”
Mo looks up at the balloons. “i said i don’t have any money.”
“i know. but you seem like the kind character who always wants more. and i’m in a giving mood. take it or leave it kid.”
Zeros words rings in Mo’s head “there’s something suspicious about this circus Mo..” “i’ll take it!”
“haha ! ofc you will. the man ties up the strings of all the balloons except one into a bunch and hands them to Mo. “don’t fly away now you hear. go on and enjoy the show.”
Mo grabs the ballloons but doesn’t leave. his eyes are fixated on the one balloon that he didn’t get. it’s the only balloon with a smiley face on it. “what about that one.”
“like i said. the kind of character who always wants more.” the smile on the man’s face grows wider. “you didn’t have much growing up did you. now you want everything huh?”
Mo gets annoyed for being read so easily, “i had nothing.”
“ofc you didn’t. i love giving to kids in need kiddo. i’m so happy to meet you Mo.” the man ties the last balloon to the rest of Mo’s balloons. “This is the start of your collection. from nothing, to something, to EVERYTHING!”
Mo smiles, satisfied with his new set of balloons. “btw, what’s your name?”
“why, I’m Mr. E. its a pleasure to meet you Mo. i’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time.”
shocked Mo stares at Mr E who tore outfit changes into a clean suit and tie. the third eye that appeared after the sneeze opens.
“let’s go on a little adventure shall we.” Mr. E blows lightly on the balloon with the smiley face which then causes the string to wrap around Mo’s wrist then all of a sudden a strong gust of wind blows carrying the balloons into the sky with Mo at the bottom.
in the sky Mo screams for help but once he looks down below he sees that the wind has blown away the entire circus. there was no one in sight for miles. Zero’s words echoes again “there’s something suspicious about this circus.” terrified that he now knows why he tries to escape gnawing at the string around his wrist.
“Mo. you’re not in danger. i don’t want to harm you.” a voice breaks the wind that was beating on Mo’s ears. Mo looks around frantically. “Up here” the balloon with the face emerges fromthe set of balloons to face Mo. “it’s me, Mr. E” the face looks exactly like the man’s from down below. “adventure awaits kiddo. We’re headed to that door”
Mo still speechless looks up further into the sky where there’s a door hanging in mid air. the gust slows down to a breeze now slowly carrying Mo toward the door.
“You have a curious spirit Mo. youre not like the rest of the others down there. that’s why i chose you to go on this adventure with. you’ll learn more in due time. but for now you just need to trust me. We’re gnna have the adventure of a lifetime!”
Mr. E’s words makes Mo smile. he feels acknowledged for the first time. he feels seen. and hearing that he’s going to get to explore on the adventure of a lifetime invigorated him. “okay.” is all he says.
The strings around Mo’s wrist loosens and Mo grabs on to them. “Serendipitous!” The wind picks up again and they head toward the door.
Mo takes a final look down at Ampersand City. He thought about how Zero might react once he realizes Mo is gone. he thought to himself. “Everything i am and everything i know is in this city.” he looked up toward the door where Mr. E and the rest of the balloons had already passed through. “now it’s time for more”
he zips in through the door but not before the Every Circus flyer falls out of his pocket and floats gently back down to Ampersand city.
