Dystopia
This piece is inspired by an image i seen on Pinterest. I simplified it in my style but i do love going on Pinterest to get ideas and inspiration. Really it’s my favorite social platform.

I added the checkerboard style to Mo’s sweater. definitely adding that into my signature style of art. Here’s the accompanying poem titled Dystopia:
Nature had broken into the buildings;
“man made” had turned into a thing of the past,
did we really think it would last ?
creatures of the night crept
within windows
glass shattered like jagged teeth
feasting on memories of before
remnants of the lore
scattered throughout the land
love and war bled
and embedded into every nook cranny and crack
time
doesn’t move in a straight line.
it’s wild
it runs
and falls
and picks up and flies,
it lies… but somehow always tells the truth
in the moments
that was, is, and will be.
Nature had broken into the buildings;
“man made” had turned into a thing of the past
did we really think we would last ?
we pray that everything stays
but it all eventually gets touched by decay
Dystopia in the distance
all weapons formed gets us closer to
the battle of the times
man v man, Nature, God
and all the vines leaves and trees
records and tell stories
of that time Nature had
broken into the buildings that man made
and bloomed…
